MS15: Mathematical Innovations for Mastering the COVID-19 Pandemic

In this minisymposium, we are bringing together two essentially independent working groups that are working intensively on the pandemic. On the one hand, we have KONSENS, an initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) to help counteract the pandemic.

On the other hand, there is MOCOS, founded by Tyll Krüger. MOCOS is also working intensively on the current pandemic, but has its epicentre in Poland. The link between the two research groups is the stochastics group of Thomas Hotz, who is involved in both research streams. The aim is thus to comprehensively present and thoroughly discuss the current research and to link various initiatives dealing with the mathematics behind the pandemic.
